Dr. Nisar Ahmad completed MA Economics from Punjab University by securing the second position in the university. After finishing his M.Phil. from the School of Economics, Quaidi-i-Azam University, he went to Denmark where he did his Masters and Ph.D. from Aarhus University in labour economics. He served in the University of Southern Denmark as a Post Doc., assistant professor and tenure track associate professor for 5 years before moving to Sultan Qaboos University in OMAN where he is currently working at the Department of Economics and Finance. Dr. Nisar has published his research work in well-reputed journals in economics such as the Journal of Macroeconomics, International Migration, Journal of Labor Research, Journal of Borderland Studies. His research expertise is in the area of Spatial Econometrics, Regional Economics, Labour Economics, women empowerment and Systematic Literature Review.
